Yu Zhang, a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Computer Science, University of Montreal, Canada, is mainly engaged in deep learning algorithms for medical image big data. In 2015, she graduated from the Brain Network Center of the Pattern Recognition Laboratory of the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Participated in many topics such as the National Natural Science Foundation's key and general projects, participated in major scientific research projects of the Ministry of Health of Canada, major scientific research projects of the Courtois Foundation, and independently hosted the postdoctoral scientific research projects of the Canadian IVADO Foundation. Currently in internationally renowned medical journals(such as eLife, Journal of Neuroscience, Cerebral Cortex, Neuroimage , PNAS , Plos Biology , Biological Psychiatry)And published 20 papers in top conferences in the field of machine learning and cognitive science (such as NeurIPS, CCN, etc.)She has won the Outstanding Student Paper Award at international academic conferences and received oral presentation opportunities many times, including the NeuroPS Neuro-AI workshop, the Computational Neuroscience Conference (CCN), the  Organization for Human Brain Mapping(OHBM), etc. She was invited to give keynote speeches at the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI) at McGill University, the UNIQUE, and the Brenda Milner Annual Conference of Neuropsychology.

The main research directions are machine learning and deep learning algorithms of medical images, including brain partitioning algorithm based on brain multimodal connection mode; behavioral prediction based on connection mode and brain activation mode; decoding of human brain cognitive function based on deep learning algorithm, involving multiple cognitive functions including movement, language, working memory, etc; brain network-basedResearch on graph neural network algorithm; migration learning based on small sample set of medical images, etc.Current research topics focus on deep learning algorithms and brain cognitive function modeling based on big data of medical images. The latest deep learning models and graph neural networks are used to explore the spatiotemporal encoding of human brain cognitive function.
